PERSONAL:

My career in real estate began in 1995 after a 6-year tour of duty in the US Army.  I joined the Army at the age 17 rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant by 23.  I served at Ft. Riley, Kansas and Pusan, South Korea as part of the 1st Infantry Division. I have 5 amazing children, 4 boys and a girl.  My 2 oldest boys have given me 3 beautiful grandchildren.  I began my career with Century 21 before opening a Mark Stimson franchise office in 1998.  Mark Stimson sold to DeWolfe a year later and after 4 years with DeWolf they sold to Cendant and I found myself owning a Coldwell Banker franchise.  I sold that 4 years later to Better Homes & Garden and for only the 2nd time in my career found myself only having to manage myself.  In 2012, having found I missed having my own office, I opened a Maine Real Estate Network franchise office.  These were the best of time and the most fun I had in real estate to that point.  Unfortunately, as seems to happen, TMREN as we came to know the company, was sold to a New Hampshire real estate company, Bean Group, in 2018.  After a couple years I decided I wanted to work for a Maine based company once again and find no suitable companies to affiliate with, myself and my most trusted agents embarked on our own adventure.  Maine Real Estate Experts opened in 2020 in the middle of a worldwide pandemic but has quickly grown to 4 offices and 70 agents of which I am very proud.  I am very excited to see what the next 10 years in real estate brings.

EDUCATION:

SALES & MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE:

I am Veteran of over 1200 personal sales in the past 25 years and over 150 Million $ in production.  I started my career at Century 21 under the close mentoring of my parents who had both been agents for several years.  I opened my first office, Friends & Neighbors Realty, as part of the Mark Stimson Realtors in 1998 after only 2 years in the business.  I’ve managed between 20-40 agents and 1-4 offices over past 23 years.  Mark Stimson Realtors was sold to DeWolfe Real Estate in 1999 and then DeWolfe was sold to Coldwell Banker in 2002.  I sold my Coldwell Banker offices to Better Homes & Gardens The Masiello Group in 2008.  I later went out on my own again opening a branch office of The Maine Real Estate Network in Standish in 2012 & Gorham in 2014.  The Maine Real Estate Network was purchased by Bean Group in late 2017.  In 2020, I opened my own company Maine Real Estate Experts.

What a man believes may be ascertained not from his creed, but from assumptions on which he habitually acts.

“There are two ways to live your life.  One is though nothing is a miracle.  The other is though everything is a miracle.”         Albert Einstein

“If you are not getting as much from life as you want to, then examine the state of your enthusiasm.”              Norman Vincent Peale

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Avoid having your ego so close to your position that when your position falls, your ego goes with it.”   Colin Powell

Our main business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance but to do what lies clearly at hand.   Thomas Carlyle (1795 - 1881)

There is no use trying, said Alice; one can't believe impossible things. I dare say you haven't had much practice, said the Queen. When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
~ Lewis Carroll

“Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.”

“There is a tide in the affairs of men

Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;

Omitted, all the voyage of their life

Is bound in shallows and miseries.

On such a full sea we are now afloat,

And we must take the current when it serves,

Or lose our ventures.”

William Shakespeare

Watch your thoughts because your thoughts lead to your words, your words lead to your actions, your actions lead to your behavior, your behavior leads to your character and your character leads to your destiny.  Margaret Thatcher

I expect to pass through life but once. If, therefore, there be any

the activities that will make the picture a reality.

“Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a Lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest Gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn't matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle... when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.”
